Terms of use

These terms apply when you play Meownlight, made by Woodland ("we", "us"). By downloading or playing the game you agree to them. If you got the game from the App Store, Apple's standard licence agreement also applies. Nothing here affects your legal rights as a consumer.

Playing the game

Meownlight is free to play. We give you a personal, non-transferable licence to use it on your devices for your own enjoyment. Please don't copy, modify, resell or reverse-engineer it, or use cheats or tools that interfere with it.

Treats, power-ups and cats

Fish treats, Full Moons, hints and cats are in-game items. They have no real-world value, can't be exchanged for money, and can't be transferred between players. Your progress and items are stored on your device, so they can be lost if you delete the game or change device, except purchases that can be restored (see below).

Purchases

You can buy the Night Owl Club, No ad breaks and treat packs through the App Store or Google Play. Prices are shown in the store before you buy. Payments, refunds and billing are handled by Apple or Google under their terms, and you can ask them for a refund.

Treat packs are used up as you spend them and can't be restored.
No ad breaks is a one-off purchase. Use Restore purchases in the game to get it back on a new device.

Night Owl Club subscription

The Night Owl Club is an auto-renewing subscription, monthly or yearly. Payment is taken by Apple or Google when you confirm. It renews automatically at the same price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel it at any time in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep the Club until the end of the period you've paid for.

Members get the nightly rewards and perks described in the game. Cats you collect as a member, including Owl Cat, stay in your collection on that device after your membership ends. We may change what the Club includes; if a change makes it worse, we'll tell you in the game before your next renewal.

The game shows ads. Rewarded ads are always your choice and give the reward described before you watch. Short ad breaks between streets don't appear for Club members or players who bought No ad breaks.

Chance

Some rewards involve chance, such as rare cats in the Night Chest and some Legendary cats. The real odds are shown in the game under Cats › How the odds work. Chance-based rewards can never be bought with money.

Changes and availability

We may update the game, add or change features, and occasionally fix the balance of rewards. We'll try to keep it running, but we can't promise it will always be available or free of bugs.

Our responsibility

We're responsible for losses that are a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care. We're not responsible for losses that weren't foreseeable, or for loss of in-game items caused by deleting the game or changing device. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't legally be limited.

The law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK or in the EU, you can also rely on the consumer protections where you live, and bring claims in your local courts.
